Teresa Purcell Comes to Walla Walla

Walla Walla County Democrats are delighted to welcome Teresa Purcell, of LongView Impact Inc., to Walla Walla. Ms. Purcell will speak at three different events open exclusively to the local Democrats.

On Friday, March 10, from 2-4pm, at WWCC SEATech, 525 Campus Loop, Ms. Purcell will speak about the opportunities for federal investments in our communities.  The Biden Administration and Democrats in Congress are making transformational investments in rural America.  These programs are available for both individuals, non-profits, small businesses, agricultural producers, local government.  Come learn more!

That evening, Friday, March 10, from 5:30-7pm, join us at the Foundry Vineyards, 1111 Abadie Street, for an informal meet and greet reception. Enjoy great wine (no host bar), snacks and conversation with Ms. Purcell.

On Saturday, March 11, 9am-noon, we return to SEATech where Ms. Purcell will take us on a deep dive into communications and messaging tools and tactics. You’ll learn how to better connect with and engage our communities. “It’s not about politics that divide us. It’s about values that unite us.”

Admission is free. Donations are gratefully accepted.

About Teresa Purcell

Teresa returned to the rural community she was raised in to care for her parents 15 years ago. She has had a front-row seat to the economic decline, the harsh reality of generational poverty, and lack of access to health care, housing, and opportunity that so many rural places have experienced. She has seen and understands the Republican takeover. In addition, she brings 35 years of working in politics, ranging from managing Senator Patty Murray's campaign in 1992 to advising Marie Gluesenkamp Perez's campaign in 2022. Teresa consulted with hundreds of issue and candidate campaigns, having worked in 38 States and specialized in working with rural and BIPOC communities.

Ms. Purcell brings deep expertise in communications, political strategy/campaigns, organizing, and technology. She also brings a wide-ranging network of relationships in political, donor, allied and rural communities across the country. She has built national initiatives that are centered in community in the past. In 2022, she served as the Senior Advisor for Rural Engagement at the DNC. (Read More)
