Hope for the Community Town Hall
The community is coming together Friday night, March 21, 7 pm at Cavu Cellars to share our experiences and stories of the past six weeks, ask questions and find resources. Our Walla Walla community is strong. We are gathering to celebrate hope, prepare our community for upcoming changes, and ensure the fabric of our community is strong.
Questions and stories from the evening will be sent to Congressman Baumgartner, who, although invited, has not indicated whether he is coming. After his recent town halls elsewhere he said he wasn't going to do more at this time.
We are inviting local nonprofit organizations to present and share their resources and programs. The Democratic Party will have a table, but this is not a party-centric event. It is open to all.
Come and enjoy a productive and meaningful evening with your friends and neighbors. Local resources like a calendar of events and groups that are springing up all over Walla Walla to voice their support for federal employees and programs, essential services like Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, and hope.
Together, we can make a huge difference by being present, voicing our objections and concerns, and encouraging each other despite an uncertain future.
